RED WINE BRAISED BEEF BRISKET

INGREDIENTS

5 lb Genuine Texas Angus Beef™ Trimmed Brisket
4 T Dijon mustard
1/3 cup ketchup
1/4 cup soy sauce
2 T fresh garlic
12 black peppercorns
3 T brown sugar
3 cups red wine

DIRECTIONS

Combine all ingredients and mix well to create marinade. Place meat and marinade in ziplock bag. Ensure meat is coated in marinade and refrigerate overnight. Preheat oven to 325° F. Place brisket and leftover marinade in a large baking dish. Cover dish with foil and bake for 3 hours or until meat is tender and reaches an internal temperature of 145° F on a meat thermometer. Allow meat to rest for 30 minutes, then cut across the grain. Serve marinade as a gravy.
