2½ lbs Genuine Texas Angus Beef™ Cubed Stew Meat


¼ cup canola oil
½ cup yellow onion, diced into ¼ inch pieces ¼ cup freshly seeded and minced jalapeño ½ cup flour
1 can (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes, drained 1 qt beef broth
2 T paprika
1 T garlic powder
1½ tsp ground cumin
Salt and pepper to taste


Heat oil in a small saucepan or stockpot over medium heat. When oil is hot, add the stew meat and sear until it begins to brown. Add onion and jalapeño to the meat; stir and cook for 2 minutes. Add flour and stir. Add the diced tomatoes, beef broth, paprika, garlic powder and cumin. Stir together and simmer on low for 45 minutes to 1 hour until meat is tender and has reached an internal temperature of 145° F on a meat thermometer and sauce has thickened. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
